పాలకొండ ఆర్టీసీ కాంప్లెక్స్ ప్రస్తుత దుస్థితి స్థానిక ప్రజలు, ప్రయాణికులను తీవ్ర నిరాశకు గురి చేస్తోంది. నియోజకవర్గ కేంద్రం, డివిజనల్ కేంద్రం అయినప్పటికీ, ఈ బస్ స్టేషన్ నిర్వహణ విషయంలో అధికారులు చూపుతున్న నిర్లక్ష్యం స్పష్టంగా కనిపిస్తోంది. సుదూర ప్రాంతాల నుంచి వచ్చే కొత్త ప్రయాణికులు కాంప్లెక్స్ ఎక్కడ ఉందో తెలుసుకోలేనంత దయనీయ స్థితిలో ముఖ్యంగా ఆర్టీసీ కాంప్లెక్స్ బోర్డు తయారైంది.

గుర్తింపు లేని కాంప్లెక్స్

స్థానిక పాలకొండ వాసులకు ఈ కాంప్లెక్స్ సుపరిచితమే అయినప్పటికీ, కొత్తగా వచ్చే వారికి మాత్రం ఇది అగమ్యగోచరంగా మారింది. ఆర్టీసీ కాంప్లెక్స్ పేరు తెలిపే బోర్డు పూర్తిగా చిరిగిపోయి, అక్షరాలు చెరిగిపోవడంతో బస్ స్టేషన్ ఎక్కడుందో తెలియని పరిస్థితి నెలకొంది. కనీసం 'పాలకొండ ఆర్టీసీ బస్ స్టేషన్' అనే సూచిక బోర్డు కూడా కనుమరుగై చాలా కాలమైనా, ఉన్నతాధికారులు దానిని మార్చే ప్రయత్నం చేయడం లేదు. ఏపీఎస్‌ఆర్టీసీ ఉన్నతాధికారులు తక్షణమే దృష్టి సారించి, కొత్త బోర్డు ఏర్పాటు చేయాలని ప్రయాణికులు  కోరుతున్నారు.

స్వచ్ఛ భారత్ నిధులు వృథా: దుర్వాసనతో లావెట్రీలు

బోర్డు లేకపోవడం ఒక సమస్య అయితే, పరిశుభ్రత లేమి మరో పెద్ద సమస్యగా మారింది. స్వచ్ఛభారత్ పథకం కింద ప్రభుత్వ నిధులతో నిర్మించిన బాత్రూమ్స్ (లావెట్రీలు) నిర్వహణ లోపంతో పూర్తిగా నిరుపయోగంగా మారాయి.

• క్లీనింగ్ లేకపోవడం కారణంగా ఆ ప్రాంతమంతా దుర్వాసనతో నిండిపోయి, ప్రయాణీకులు ముక్కు మూసుకునే పరిస్థితి ఏర్పడింది.
• స్త్రీలు, వృద్ధులు, చిన్నపిల్లలు అత్యవసర పరిస్థితుల్లో కూడా వాటిని ఉపయోగించలేని విధంగా పరిస్థితి దిగజారింది.

ప్రభుత్వ ధనంతో నిర్మించిన సౌకర్యాలు ప్రజలకు అందుబాటులో లేకుండా పోవడం పట్ల స్థానికులు, ప్రయాణికులు తీవ్ర ఆవేదన వ్యక్తం చేస్తున్నారు.

నియోజకవర్గ కేంద్రంలో ఉన్న ఆర్టీసీ కాంప్లెక్స్‌ను ప్రయాణీకులకు సౌకర్యవంతంగా, పరిశుభ్రంగా ఉంచే బాధ్యతను యంత్రాంగం వెంటనే స్వీకరించాలని, సమస్యలను త్వరగా పరిష్కరించాలని ప్రజలు కోరుతున్నారు.

The current plight of the Palakonda RTC complex is deeply disappointing to the local people and commuters. Despite being a constituency center and a divisional center, the negligence shown by the authorities in the management of this bus station is clearly visible. The RTC complex board in particular is in such a poor condition that new commuters coming from faraway places cannot find out where the complex is.

Unidentified complex

Although this complex is familiar to the local residents of Palakonda, it has become inaccessible to newcomers. The board indicating the name of the RTC complex has been completely torn and the letters have been erased, so there is no way to know where the bus station is. At least the signboard 'Palakonda RTC Bus Station' has also disappeared for a long time, but the higher authorities are not trying to change it. The commuters are demanding that the APSRTC top officials pay immediate attention and install a new board.

Swachh Bharat funds wasted: Lavatories with foul smell

While the lack of boards is one problem, lack of cleanliness has become another big problem. The bathrooms (lavatories) built with government funds under the Swachh Bharat scheme have become completely unusable due to poor maintenance.

• Due to lack of cleaning, the entire area is filled with foul smell, causing passengers to hold their noses.

• The situation has deteriorated to the point where women, the elderly and children are unable to use them even in emergencies.

Locals and passengers are expressing deep concern over the facilities built with government money not being accessible to the public.

People are demanding that the administration immediately take up the responsibility of keeping the RTC complex in the constituency center comfortable and clean for passengers and resolve the problems quickly.
